SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration status sassa Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The support point designed for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to allow the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
